Summer Events with Westminster Connects - more opportunities than ever!
|
Across Westminster, the past few weeks have been full of energy and community spirit, with Westminster Connects volunteers helping residents, visitors and families enjoy some of the borough’s most spectacular events.
From the excitement of West End LIVE 2026 in Trafalgar Square, where thousands gathered for the UK’s largest free open-air musical theatre event, to neighbourhood celebrations across the borough, volunteers have been at the heart of making these moments feel welcoming, safe and well organised. That same spirit was on show at the Westbourne Summer Festival, a fun-filled celebration for all ages. Volunteers helped with decorations, kept visitors hydrated and supported the smooth running of the day, while also helping children and families feel welcomed and included.
At SouthWestFest, volunteers brought warmth and enthusiasm to another vibrant community festival in South Westminster, supporting stalls, welcoming visitors and helping create a friendly atmosphere throughout the day.
Pride in London was another memorable occasion, with plenty to celebrate and commemorate. Our volunteers supported the grandstands by checking people in, engaging with members of the public and helping visitors enjoy the parade and performances safely. |
